Get 1-on-1 Catan Coaching from Treeckosaurus

I made over fifteen online/IRL Catan finals between 2019 and 2026, qualified for the 2026 Dutch National Championship and became the no. 1 ranked online Catan player in July 2022.

In these sessions I help Catan players improve the fundamentals of their gameplay with the aim to increase their percentage of games won.

These one-on-one coaching sessions are recommended for players of all skill levels.

Beginners who want effective strategies to beat their friends and family
Intermediate players who want to improve their skill sets
Advanced players who are eager win National Championships, compete for the highest ranks in online Catan and qualify for the KoC Premier League.

What will we do?

It's simple. You book a session on my website and tell me what you're looking for.

Within the space of board games I can teach anything you want to know.

We'll call 1 on 1 in a Google Meet (or Zoom or Discord if like those better), where I get a sense of what your level, tendencies and strategies are and based on that I'll teach you how to win the games you want to win.

During the session I'll ask questions and I'll see what you need and what your approach is.

Based on that I choose between the different methods of training of how we can make you a better Catan player.

How good can I become?

As with all Catan related questions; it depends.

I've coached a complete beginner to the final of a massive in-person tournament in Canada before. In just ONE session. You can watch his video here.

Some students won tournaments after just two sessions and they qualified for the Premier League.

There have also been a few that didn't improve much.

But most students improved a lot. This includes students from all over the world on all different levels.

These are the things that matter most:

A clear goal that you care about achieving.
Most goals require a certain time commitment. You won't become a national champion without practice.
Being able to overcome losing. If you quit each time you lose, you won't get enough reps in.

Do you also coach different games?

Yes, besides the Catan base game I also coach Catan expansions Cities & Knights and Seafarers, as well as 1v1 Catan.
